Medellín  May 19, 2021

HMV Ingenieros is proud to have participated in the Interventor Consortium for the Metrocable P line project; Accompanying the detailed design and construction of the civil works necessary for the electromechanical supply, assembly and commissioning of a mono-cable type aerial cable passenger transport system with detachable clamp cabins, which will benefit the communes 5 and 6 of the northwestern sector of Medellín.
BASIC INFORMATION ABOUT THIS METROCABLE:
• It will be the sixth Metrocable in the city of Medellín.
• It is 2,657 km long (29 bollards).
• It will benefit 420,000 inhabitants of communes 5 and 6.
• It is made up of four stations that are: Acevedo, Sena, Doce de Octubre and El Progreso.
• This system will have 138 cabins, each with a capacity for 12 passengers and will be able to move 4,000 passengers every hour in each direction.
• This line will be distinguished by being the first in the city that incorporates “direct drive” technology, which does not use intermediate elements such as the reducer and the cardan between the motor and the pulley, which allows the operation to be much quieter.

At HMV we continue working for the development of our communities.
