Installation of the photovoltaic solar plant for Bancolombia

Medellín  May 13, 2021

This project was carried out under the EPC business model, with a focus on the construction of Non-Conventional Renewable Power Plants and it involves the installation of the photovoltaic solar plant on the roofs of the North and South Tower of the General Directorate of Bancolombia in Medellin; which have a capacity of 700 kWp and are made up of two arrays of photovoltaic modules distributed in both towers.

The system located in the North Tower of the headquarters consists of a total of 761 modules while in the South Tower, a total of 1,203 modules were installed for a total of 1,964 photovoltaic modules installed throughout the building.

Through energy estimates, a generation of 1,109,110 kilowatt hours per year is projected, a plant factor of 16.3% and an energy saving of approximately 15% is expected with respect to the conventional electricity consumption of the headquarters.

The implementation of the photovoltaic solar plant represents a reduction in GHG emissions equivalent to 421.26 tonCO2 / year, equivalent to 28,084 trees.

At HMV Ingenieros we continue to promote development through projects that seek to reduce environmental impact.
