Education: Degree in Instrumentation and Control Engineering, Electronic Engineering, Control Engineering, Mechatronics Engineering, or a related field
Experience: Between 4 and 8 years in automation and control projects, basic or detailed engineering
Specific experience: In hydroelectric power plants, small hydroelectric power plants (PCH), or power generation and generation control systems.
Specific Knowledge:
• Industrial process control systems applied to hydroelectric power generation
• Process instrumentation (level, flow, pressure, power, etc.)
• Industrial automation:
-PLC, RTU, DCS
-Distributed control systems (ABB 800xA, Siemens, Schneider, or similar)
• Industrial communication protocols:
-IEC 61850
-IEC 60870-5-104
-Modbus (TCP/RTU)
-OPC
• SCADA, HMI, and telemetry systems
• Control architectures for power generation plants
• System integration with:
-Control centers
-AGC / load dispatch (XM)
• Interpretation and development of:
-Operating philosophies
-Narrative logic
-Functional diagrams
-Cause-and-effect matrices
