Required Profile:
Recent Civil Engineer or with up to one year of professional experience, with a focus on or interest in structural design.
No prior experience is required for this position; however, the following will be considered an asset:
Academic specialization or emphasis in structures.
Strong academic performance (please indicate GPA or relevant grades).
References from faculty.
Academic recognitions (scholarships, teaching assistantships, awards). Basic proficiency in design and/or modeling software (please specify).
Preferably with a high level of English (C1) for:
Responding to technical emails.
Participating in teleconferences with clients.
Reading and interpreting standards and technical specifications in English.
If required, the interview may be conducted in English.
Main Functions
Support the structural civil design of high and extra-high voltage electrical substations.
Prepare and review structural drawings.
Model and analyze steel structures and civil works associated with substations.
Support the preparation of calculation reports and technical documents.
Coordinate technical information with other project disciplines.
Technical Skills
Basic proficiency in AutoCAD.
Basic proficiency in specialized software for the analysis and design of steel structures and civil works (e.g., SAP2000, ETABS, SAFE, or others – please specify).
Basic knowledge of applicable structural codes.
